The ocean, and coastal scenes seem to adapt well to space art. Reflections in water always add an intriguing element. Just south of Coos Bay, Oregon is Arago Park, where cliffs are eroded into other worldly features.
Taking day shots and turning them into night shots doesn’t always work, especially if there are strong shadows to deal with. Fortunately it was overcast when I grabbed this shot. In compositing such images together, I strive to keep them somewhat believable. Fortunately, when you’re dealing with the cosmos, almost anything goes.
